Four Steps of My Design Process
Step 1
Getting to Know Each Other
Marilyn likes to begin the design process with a complimentary meeting at your home or office. She will encourage you to discuss your preferred style of living and environment, and to be as open as possible about your design needs and desires. This is the critical time to get to know each other, and to begin creating a vision together.
Step 2
Developing Your Project
Marilyn will ask questions (NOT AN INTEROGATION!) to determine your particular interior design project needs, project parameters, timeframe and budget, and ideal outcome. She will guide you through various options to find the optimum design and work process that meets your and your family’s schedule.
Step 3
Managing the Project
Marilyn will perform various design services or procure design products, keeping you informed through each step of the process. She will work closely with vendors and sub-contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget. You will be invoiced at key points in the process for work completed or orders committed. Upon project completion Marilyn will follow up with you to ensure your satisfaction with the overall project. This is all accomplished with a sense of humor…so important when a project might become stressful!
Step 4
Project Closeout
After all the work is completed, Marilyn will do a final walkthrough and address any final concerns. Client happiness is her ultimate goal, so let’s make sure the project has met everyone’s expectations. Now, relax and enjoy your new environment. Welcome Home!
